Ephrahim Ditucalan

By: Admin | Posted on: 8/14/2019 5:54:32 AM

What does he have to show aside from his famous family name?

His family name actually suggests a place  at the uphill of iligan City where you can find the famous Maria Cristina Falls. And so, it is not unlikely that wherever he goes people easily remember him.  Afterall, it is seldom that you come across with a family name that is also known as a famous place. You bet. When people hear his family name, the fist thing that comes into  their minds is the area of Camp Overton and the Agus River that lead to Maria Christina Falls.

Perhaps, Ephrahim has gotten so used to being told about it.  Everyday, there are admirers, oglers and even inamoratos who follow him even in social media.   So, it does not surprise him anymore because the comments are one and the same over and over again.  That is why most of the time, he volunteers to say that he has more than just good looks.

Really?  So, what does he have to show aside from his face and the body?  Ephrahim says he enjoys cooking. Yes, and he claims to be a very good cook!  Name it, and he can cook it: chicken adobo, kare-kare, kinilaw, bulalo, tinola and sinigang. He went on to name some more but his specialties are the Maranaw dishes like “piaparan a manuk”,   “piarun a odang”, beef “randang” and smoked fish called “Bakas” (mostly cooked with grated coconut) complete with “palapa”. He said that he got it from his mother who taught him to cook when he was just a toddler.  And, he hastens to add by saying, “kung maka tilaw ka sa akong luto, di gyod ka makalimot nako”.

Well, he could be naughty sometimes.  But, sorry girls and gays – Ephrahim is already taken.  But, that is not surprising because he is a head turner, remember?   Nevertheless, Ephrahim was not just bragging when he said that he is a good cook.  During their oral defense for their thesis at the AVR last December, he cooked “piaparan a manuk” and served it during lunch time to the delight of the panel members.

Lately, however, Ephrahim did a good job for ICC.  He joined the Marketing Team led by Dr. Azorin C.V. LaviƄa and Prof. Edith B. Ocon during their visits to the different public and private high schools in Lanao del Norte.  He talked about why he chose to enroll in ICC, the school’s facilities and his experiences from first year college to the present where he is undergoing an OJT.  It was something that he enjoyed so much judging from the way he took part of the sharing.

Of course,  he drew a lot of screams from many senior high school students especially when he was introduced as a Criminology student.  He was himself a showcase for the school. And, whether they admit it or not, Ephrahim simply came out to be a perfect model for ICC.  And why not? He has a famous name, he is a good cook, he is a good representative for his department and most of all – he is a police officer in the making.
