The ABC (short for Arts & Sciences/Bus. Administration/Computer Studies) held its joint Bequeathal Ceremony and Recognition Day on February 15, 2019 at the ground floor of Plaza Alemania in Iligan City. It was the first of its kind for the three departments and something that they have not done in a long time and so judging from those who attended it, many were excited and came very much prepared.

As early as 5:00 pm., the  Plaza Alemania glittered with figure hugging gowns and slits and even the boys came in  their best suits in anticipation of the awards that were to be given that night. But, Prof. Estelita L. Pia was herself a head-turner that night with her sleeveless long gown matched with a new short hair and so she should have received the Eye Cather of the Night Award for  the Employee Category if there was any.

After a brief welcome remarks from the  Dean of CBA, Dr. Azorin Cervantes V. Laviña and a message from Head of OSAS, Prof. Dante B. Lacsi, the senior students sang a dedication song to the juniors, and in response they too, sang a song of Tribute.  This was followed by the turning over of the key of responsibility, book of knowledge and ring of success by the senior student officers to their junior counterparts.

Invited as guest speaker was Mr. Francis P. Pestaño, a  BSBA Cum Laude graduate in ICC a few years back, who shared his humble beginnings as a working student from high school to college and how he managed to pursue a degree despite his financial difficulties.  He also shared that aside from being an account executive of East West Bank, he has started his own food business in Suarez, Iligan City. He also said that he was happy to be invited as a guest speaker for the ABC because he has always been proud of being an ICCan. One day, he added the wishes to look back and

Incidentally, the three departments also distributed medal and certificates to all outstanding department officers and athletes.  This was a way of recognizing the efforts of those who were very active as department officers and those who excelled in the field of sports inside and outside of ICC.
